2014 Clark-Claudon 'Eternity' Red Blend

Leading into the 2014 season, drought conditions worried growers throughout Napa Valley. Yet, bud break came early and beautiful weather prevailed. Our reservoirs had filled, but water management in the vineyard was crucial.  Timely irrigation was essential to produce perfectly ripe fruit.

In the end, every piece of the puzzle came together. There were no damaging heat spikes during the growing season and ripening balanced the early bud break with an equally early harvest. What could have been a disappointing vintage turned out to be another beauty.

After very detailed selection in the vineyard, the most ideal fruit made its way to the winery. Then, pampered like the baby it was, the chosen grapes received optical sorting, barrel fermenting, and hand punch downs. Each step designed to allow a slow unfolding of the 2014 Eternity.
