Born in Quezon City on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, Tracy Cruz is a California-based, multi-award winning musical artist, songwriter, and vocal coach. With over 20 years in the music industry, she has received more than 40 prestigious awards, including the 2022 and 2021 InterContinental Music Awards for Best of North America in R&B, the 2022 Josie Music Award for Vocalist of the Year in R&B/Soul, the 2022 One Earth Award GOLD for Best Jazz Single, the 2020 ISSA Gold Award for Female Emerging Artist of the Year, the World Songwriter Award for Best R&B Song, the 2020 National Black Music Award for Best Recorded Song, and the 2020 Bay Area Black Music Award for Best Female Neo Soul Performer.
Her music has received international acclaim, with “Let’s Go Back” reaching #29 on the iTunes R&B/Soul chart in Poland and “Your Love’s Everything” hitting #88 in Switzerland. Her performances have sold out venues such as SFJAZZ and Yoshi’s, and she has shared the stage with Kenny Lattimore, Pete Escovedo, Miki Howard, Keke Wyatt, Sy Smith, Moonchild, Raheem DeVaughn, Wes Felton, Derrick Hodge, Dee Dee Simon, and Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas. Jackie Turner is a talented vocal recording artist with a voice and personality that will warm your heart as well as get you on the dance floor.
A San Francisco native born into a musical family, she has recorded, traveled, and performed with her cousin Tony Sanders (son of legendary Meri Sanders). Her talents have grown far and wide in the music industry. She is able to tap into her gospel roots, and deliver any musical genre. She owns the stage and can entertain any crowd . Jackie travels throughout California performing with her “Jackie Turner Band” or with her Trio. Venues have included but not limited to Yoshi’s in the Oakland, Jazz clubs in Napa as well as various outdoor events and wineries.

Jared Carbajal is a dynamic saxophonist, composer, and bandleader based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of SDSU’s Jazz Studies program, he has toured the U.S. and Europe, recorded at Capitol Records, and performed with icons like Gordon Goodwin, Tito Puente Jr., and Ernie Watts. Known for his versatility across genres—from jazz and funk to Latin and pop—Jared leadsThe (408) Collective and has appeared in national commercials and on ABC’s Schooled. He also performs with several Bay Area groups and major events, from amusement parks to pro sports teams.

San Jose’s own funk/soul singer, pianist, songwriter and recording artist Monica Marquis has performed with her band in Bay Area venues, events, festivals and special appearances for 30+ years, wowing audiences with her beautiful voice and captivating fans with her catchy original music from her 4 albums (released globally on most streaming platforms). Notable performances have included The San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, the KGO Cure-A-Thon live radio

Claudio Melega / Thursday, July 30th / 6:30 -9:30pm
Claudio Melega is an eclectic and exciting vocalist and guitarist with a vast repertoire of classic rock, blues, jazz, bossa nova, flamenco and traditional Italian music. Originally from Italy, he moved to the United States in 1990 to attend the prestigious Musician Institute in Hollywood, Ca, from which he graduated. A professional working musician since his teens, Claudio can sing in five different languages, has an extensive live and studio experience and is well versed in both acoustic and electric guitar styles.
